Future Leaders of HEDNA

Engage. Uplift. Lead.

We believe that by developing new leaders and more meaningful relationships that we are not only inviting new diverse perspectives into the industry but we are fostering an environment where collaboration and innovation are the benchmark. The group will serve as a way to determine potential content focuses and areas of industry education.

The Future Leaders of HEDNA (FLOH) is a select group of hospitality technology professionals who endeavor to impact the future success of both our industry and our association. We will engage a dynamic mix of members to foster education and leadership, as well as shape the direction of our organization in line with our key mission of simplifying hospitality distribution. The FLOH will organize and provide leadership opportunities and career growth experiences to its members. FLOH will strive to identify new discussion topics in the space to increase awareness and engagement, develop insights, and drive actionable next steps, which, in turn, will help to guide HEDNA and the industry forward.

Goals and Initiatives

Develop Leaders

Goal (What)

Promote the development of new Future Leader Members.

Reason (Why)

We believe that by developing new leaders, we are not only building an enduring legacy for HEDNA but, also bringing new and diverse perspectives to our industry to challenge the status quo and foster innovation.

Initiative (How)
  • Leverage our existing membership to provide education and insights through FLOH webinars and dedicated sessions that focus on leadership skills and building deeper industry knowledge.
  • Institute a mentoring program to partner FLOH members with existing HEDNA leaders.
  • Provide a platform for future leaders to discuss/share relevant topics and industry insights with the broader organization and champion them through white papers, working groups or presentations on the main stage.

Expand Networks

Goal (What)

Elevate and expand the professional network of new leaders.

Reason (Why)

We believe that by building more meaningful relationships, we will foster an environment of increased collaboration which will promote individual growth, encourage the exchange of new and diverse ideas and perspectives; adding overall value to HEDNA .

Initiative (How)
  • Leverage FLOH to foster connections with new and first time HEDNA members/attendees.
  • Craft dedicated experiences for FLOH Members to connect and collaborate on a regular basis.

Champion New Ideas

Goal (What)

Identify and champion new ideas.

Reason (Why)

We believe that by leveraging the FLOH we will generate engaging content, with a goal of promoting more focused working groups & cultivating knowledge-share to solve for existing industry challenges & readily identify new trends and their impact.

Initiative (How)
  • Identify common industry challenges and discuss recommended solutions.
  • Understand and discuss the impacts of new technology and trends in the industry.
  • Appoint a FLOH representative for each HEDNA workgroup.

Nominees must fit the following criteria: 

  • a minimum 2 years industry experience

  • be involved in some aspect of Hospitality/Technology/Distribution

  • have attended a minimum of 1 HEDNA conference (virtual or in-person)

  • candidate's company must be a member of HEDNA or be willing to join

  • able to commit a max 2 year FLoH member participation.
